Apparently five of the IDF's own soldiers died in the exchange.

Where did you get that from? I've seen reports of injuries to the Israelis but, thank G-d, no reports of deaths.

I read it (that 5 IDF were killed) but have since forgotten where. Recent reports seem to indicate 5 IDF were injured, not killed.

They should have jammed radio transmissions, eliminated the crew, dumped the cargo and then left the ships to sail on as a ghost flotilla. Then deny any knowledge of the incident.

Our forefathers wouldn't care about the status of Israel. None of the soldiers buried in Arlington fought for Israel. To conflate the interests of the US and Israel is unpatriotic to Americans.

Only idiots believe that the founding fathers would support the Israelis attack on a non-military ship carrying humanitarian aid. Or that they would support Israel at all. Our forefathers were Americans that fought and died for America, not Israel.

The Israelis just shot themselves in the foot. They attacked a ship flying the flag of their most influential ally, Turkey. The diplomatic fallout from this incident is going to be huge. Not from the US of course, but from Europe and the Middle East.

Firs of all you have a smart mouth witch I do not like. Second the “Humanitarian aid ship is suspect and was in violation of Israeli waters. They were warned and instructed to go to a port. They chose not to.

There are morons on this thread wishing that the Israelis sunk the whole flotilla and opining that the US should get involved on the side of the Israelis and you are concerned about my attitude? Too bad. If you want to attack unarmed "peace" activists, join the Israeli military.

You have your facts wrong concerning the flotilla.

The ship was still in international waters when the Israelis boarded. The flotilla had former US congressmen and current European MEPs on board. The Israelis killed at least 10 unarmed people. No weapons were found on board.

The international political fallout will be massive. World Opinion The US was smart to cancel Bibi's visit to the White House.

Did you miss something here? The flotilla violated an Isralie blockade. In Israeli waters. And when they were ask to stop they did not. This is so simple. They are not peace keepers. They are aiding the enemy. What about that do you not understand?
