Even if it is determined the crime was based on race, Seattle police will come up with a term (such as “wilding”) so as to not have it classified as a hate crime. I know of what I speak. Remember the Central Park Jogger? She was white; perpetrators were all black or Hispanic — the crime “Wilding”. It was never classified as a hate crime.
You are right. Hate crimes are not called for on black on white. Just ask Al or Jesse.

So they’re reasons for never classifying it as a hate crime, was possibly based on the very sketchy details that got the kids convicted in the first place. It wasn’t a hate crime.
