Methinks they are engaging in a dog and pony shoe to keep everyone focused on the Sestak bribe and, hopefully, forget the Romanoff bribe, which, I would think, is much more direct in that there's no third party (like Bubba) involved and a specific job is named -

It's getting harder to find the stories on this - including the direct quotes from Romanoff. someone needs to get them cached quick. (and do I remember that Romanoff was also offered a high end position for his brother?)

to answer my own last question - the brother of my question wasn't Romanoff’s but Matheson’s.
