OK, what is the saw blade going to accomplish? At least it's clear water in this area.

GMTA. I just posted a vanity asking the same thing. Saw the live feed earlier this morning, there was a LOT of BLACK 'stuff' gushing out of whatever pipe the cam was focused on...did the top kill procedure totally fail?

Oh, it’s a sawblade! I saw something moving but didn’t realize it was a saw blade—dang! That’s a big blade too! Are they planning to just cut through everything??

"Shove a Oprah sized tampon in the damn hole" Only if Obrah hadn't used it first. The ocean life can only stand so much pollution.

No kidding and its pretty time consuming to pick the saw up and get it in the right position again.

The debris field around this well must be incredible.

Hard to say. Fortunately the rig must have drifted some before it sank. If it had gone down directly on top of the drill head it would be buried under hundreds of tons of steel.

They gonna use that saw??
To: Mike Darancette
They were using the saw, stopped the saw, dropped it, retrieved it, got it into position again and, from what I could see, a cloud of hydraulic fluid appeared when they tried to start the saw again.

I think they’re headed for the surface. I saw them turn the cam on some guages.

Looks like they're at about 2600 feet right now, half way to the surface, and yeah, saw the dropping of the saw, the restarting and the cloud of fluid, and I'm sure am glad there's no audio link to the ROV operators.

They only thing those robot should have been doing for a month now is threading sucking lines down so tankers could be loaded refinery bond.
They could do that easy.
Gas would be under $2.
