It’s right there in the U.S. Constitution, Article 1 Section 6:
No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.
The Admiral may be guilty of perjury as well.
And Bill Clinton, having been President for eight years, would have known this. No way was this the job Clinton offered Sestak, if indeed it was Clinton who offered the job.
If Obama has the nads to occupy the Oval Office as an usurper, what’s a little thing like a payoff?
It’s pure Chicago thugery!
It could have been Obama himself who talked to Sestak and told him to get out of the race .. because Obama can already see the House dems are possibly in serious trouble of being overtaken in November by the repubs - which would cut off Obama’s purse strings.
That’s a perfectly logical reason to want Sestak to remain in the House. The problem is Sestak didn’t want to stay in the House - BECAUSE HE CAN SEE THE POSSIBLE AVALANCE COMING TOO - and nobody wants to be out of power.
It’s all about POWER!
I’ll always believe Obama was the person who called Sestak - not Clinton. But .. I can’t help but wonder what Obama had to promise to Clinton to get him to go along with this game.
Just like at the start, in the end the ballerina will be proved to be more the klintoon’s boy than the indo-kenyan’s boy. This alliance with slick, nobama will live to regret.
It won’t hurt hitlery cause she’s kept distance and everyone knows slick is not to be trusted, except nobama obviously.
Scary to say it, I would rather have Bill back 100 times than to have Obama. I think he was the midrange kind of globalist between Bush and Obama. Bush wanted globalism with America in the lead. Obama wants it with America in ashes. Clinton wants to rule it and at least made some pretenses (such as going to Arlington Cemetery) that he cared about America a little. Yes, he was a scoundrel, and yes, I believe he sold our country out. But it was more ‘business’ than a vendetta that he pursued. Obama wants us to be destroyed.
Seriously, they’re unraveling faster than they can knit.
Somebody should have picked that tidbit up.
Let’s hope that this story remains alive after this holiday weekend. Which, as I cross fingers, I think it will because of the election race Sestack is in, if nothing else.
It wouldn’t hurt the pubs to get out of the tanning booth, risk a few mussed head hairs, goodness me take a day off from reaching across the aisle, and pound on this story at every opportunity.
They’ve got an election riding on it so it’s not like it’s just another story. And the Toomey campaign should be up nights planning and plotting how to use this story.

It’s pure speculation, but not outside the realm of possibility. I have read that Bill Clinton despises Obama, in part for the way O played the race card on him in the last election. I know enough about narcissists to realistically envision BC meting out some payback.
You could be right. I just can’t see two inveterate narcissists who have clashed in the past working together hand in glove. Doesn’t seem to fit the psychological profile.
And now Ladies and Gentlemen, allow us to introduce Joe Sestak, The 0bama Administrations new: Czar Czar.
He will be in charge of all the other Czars reporting directly to the President on all Czar matters.
I think someone should ask Sestak’s wife what she thought about that offer of a non-compensated job for her husband. Ask her what that arrangement would do for the family budget.
It’s mind boggling. If you had said, during the Lewinsky scandal, that ~12 years we’d be missing Bill Clinton, my brain would have melted and dribbled out my ears. Yet it’s happened. Well of course we’d rather have a Republican than the Return of Bill, but as you said, just about anybody trumps Obama the Destroyer.
The admiral worked for WJB, specifically for Sandy Berger. And got promoted from captain with Clinton help. He’s not as naive as he pretends.
