The headline seems to indicate that the officers couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn with their pistols, but a 16 y/o kid was a much better shot with an AK. ...???
One thing I never understand is the whole 'AKs are inaccurate.' They are not. They have greater tolerances than an AR type weapon, and over long distances the AR will have better accuracy than the AK. However, take an AR, give me an AK, and I guarantee you up to 300 yds I will match you shot for shot. Obviously in the hands of a Mujahadeen spraying and praying it is a different story, but in my hands a Kalashnikov is accurate enough for each round to count. Now, in this case the 16 year old was only some feet away, the cops were taking cover from the 7.62 rounds, and the outcome was more or less a given. Reminds me of that Hollywood shooting.
