05-27-obama Good news! President Obama says there will be an answer on whether his White House attempted to bribe Rep. Joe Sestak to stay out of the senate primary in Pennsylvania.

But not yet.

Sure, it would seem that with White House spokesman Robert Gibbs’s assurance that all conversations between Sestak and the White House were “appropriate,” the president could have easily answered the question Thursday during his first news conference in nearly a year.

But why answer the question now when the administration can drag it out even longer?

There are more opportunities for really positive exchanges to happen between Gibbs and the White House press corps.

Sestak said he was offered a job. And he keeps repeating that. Gibbs says....

...nothing inappropriate happened. And he keeps repeating that.

So is there a gray area here? Will this be another "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is"?

“There will be an official response shortly on the Sestak issue which I hope will answer your questions,” Obama told reporters Thursday.

No need for hope. It really is a simple question. Was Sestak offered a job?

Plouffe is Obama's former campaign manager and head of Organizing for America. Some months back, Obama brought Plouffe on board to organize and manage various democrat campaigns around the country.

With a little digging I found that he was heavily involved in the Specter campaign and was behind a semi covert smear campaign against Sestak through Organizing for America emails.

Wiki has this to say.

Plouffe is currently working as an outside senior adviser to the Obama administration. His book The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory, discussing management strategies that he used in the 2008 campaign,[9] was published on November 3, 2009. He later issued a video challenge for Obama supporters to buy a copy of his book on December 8, 2009 in order to "Beat Sarah Palin" and her best-selling book for one day.[10][11] He also signed with the Washington Speakers Bureau to give paid speeches, and plans to engage in non-government consulting work."[12] In May 2009, Plouffe delivered the Convocation address at Cornell University.[13] In January 2010, President Obama asked Plouffe to “give some extra time” to focus on the 2010 midterm elections. Plouffe’s outside advisory role consists of “working internally on strategy with” current White House officials. [14] Plouffe's primary job on behalf of the White House will be to help devise, coordinate and analyze strategies for the House, Senate and governor's races in November.[15]

I really think, Clinton should be ignored and we should be looking in the direction of Plouffe.

So, they wanted Sestak to quit the Senate race, and he would have to leave his House seat, and they were going to give him an unpaid position?

Is that the best they could offer? No wonder Sestak declined.

I would say that I think somebody is lying, but I think they are ALL lying.

Hold up here Hoss.... Gibbsey for MONTHS said, “I will check into that” “I will gt back to you on that”, “I don’t know, I will get on that” and NOTHING was ever gotten to.

What did Gibbsey know and when did he know it?

Why did it take the White House MONTHS to answer these questions? If nothing “Bad” happened, WHY DODGE THE QUESTION FOR MONTHS??????????

Because something bad DID happen.

REMEMBER SCOOTER LIBBY!!!!!! - Payback’s a BITCH ain’t it?

introducing clinton and sestaks brother into the mix gives them maximum room for “misspeaking” and “misunderstanding”.

Rational Rahmbo/Chicago Mob tactics. They’ve lost their grip on Specter’s short hairs, so now are looking to get a grip on Sestak’s.

There is a federal law prohibits making an offer for a future job or payment in exchange for present day political action.

Its the promise of a future payment/job that violates the law.
