I agree that the crew muffed up, by not finding her. But there’s NO WAY she should be able to cash in on her stupidity/scam, whichever it turns out to be!
The crew should get in trouble though for not searching the plane for “hidden” passengers.

SHE was not the stupid one. Had the crew done their duty, we wouldn’t be reading this story.
Every year we hear about the little girl who fell asleep on the bus and awoke alone and terrified because the lazy-ass driver failed to do his duty. If it happened to my kid, you can bet your ass there would be punitive repercussions.
Now granted, this was no 4 year old. But the MAIN point is, had the crew met their obligations, there would be nothing to talk about
