Thanks for your observations. I’ve always been under the impression that the thousands of artillery tubes in the North which are aimed at Seoul - only 35 miles away - would wreak incredible death and destruction. And, that’s not counting the WMD potential as noted by many others. So, is the SoKor govt willing to accept horrific casualties and devastation of its capitol and major population center? From far away, my impression is that they’re caught it in a huge trap and Lil Kim can really poke and provoke to his heart’s content. All the incredible weaponry that we and the SoKors have would certainly lead to eventual victory in an all-out shooting war. But, is anyone there making the calculation that this truly pyrrhic victory would be worth the incredible cost?
I would be most interested in our Asian Freepers’ take on this incredibly dangerous predicament.

Willing? Not sure that really enters into the picture. They are pretty much resigned that the North is psycho and Chia is planning to go out in a blaze of glory.

I have close contacts there and they have basically resigned themselves that sooner or later there will be a war. A war with massive casualties.
