The Anti-Beer Libertarian
NRO ^ | May 27, 2010 | Jim Geraghty

By now it’s become a disturbingly familiar pattern for conservatives: A candidate who seems promising at first glance wins a Republican primary, and then suddenly the press — often fed by a Democratic rival’s opposition-research team — begins looking in-depth at every controversial and regrettable statement and act that candidate ever made. Just days after it’s too late to change the nominee, the choice of GOP primary voters appears to be an egregious mistake.

Why it's a good idea to wait for the day of a primary before voting, unless absolutely decided on one candidate. Never can quite tell what might come out of the woodwork.

And here we go. She has repeatedly denied she is a prohibitionist after that interview was brought up.

C'mon people, research.

Um, has anyone guessed at what the wacky or unconstitutional convictions the Democrat party leadership and MSM journalists secretly espouse? What’s the difference? Just this: they’re in power and conservatives aren’t. Goldwater was right.

As I sit here and drink my cold mug of beer I'm thinking there should be a list of questions answered before a group of people ( the Tea Party ) makes their decision on who to support.

I really don’t see the issue here.

Democrats dig stuff up in hopes the right will react. In the case of Medina it was actually a good thing. If the democrats want to research candidates for us, I say we should let them. We’re smart enough to figure out what’s real or important.

The effect on society is so great that I’m just not a real proponent of legalizing any drug or encouraging any drug abuse. . . . I’m elected by the people to protect, and I think that law should protect.”

Where do these people get these ideas?

Senators and REPRESENTATIVES are elected to REPRESENT the people of their state in the government.

They are to make laws to govern the relations between the states, the relations ships between the nation and foreign powers, regulate interstate trade and provide a national defense.

Anything else is a usurpation of power.

The people do not need the federal government protecting the individuals from themselves.

It is everyone’s right to make a fool of himself as long as he does no harm to anyone else while he is at it.

Oh please. The establishment strikes back.

It’s OKAY if they are RINO’s but if they are attacked by the liberal media and words they never said are attributed to them. Like turning an “Um” into a “Yes” in the transcripts sent to the rest of the media.

Medina wanted to be the TEA Party candidate and she sounded good for a while but she was never endorsed by any group that I know of.

Don’t let that stop you Jim. It never stopped anyone else in the media.

Labels don't mean much. Look at all the people suddenly calling themselves conservatives.

This beer crap is misdirection.

Leftie hippy dopers always pull the "alcohol is worse than pot" canard to proffer a "have you quit beating your wife" type question without being called on the question.

Any ringer media type will file the answer to that question for future use in character assassination.

Is she Mormon? When she was first lady of Michigan, Mitt Romney’s mom had the nickname “Lemonade Lenore” because she refused to serve liquor st state functions.
