I hadn’t heard that they started pumping the cement in yet. I thought they needed to keep pumping the heavy mud until the upward pressure from the oil reaches zero before doing that.
They may have already pumped the cement and are continuing to pump the mud to apply back pressure until the plug hardens. It may go on for a day or so.
