New book out on stands in Japan which took many by surprise:
Title: "Obama Shitsugen De Manabu America" (オバマ失言で学ぶアメリカ), by Marie Nishimori (KK Bestsellers (2010/5/15) ISBN-10: 4584132372 ISBN-13: 978-4584132371
Subtitle: "Top 101 Gaffes of Barack Obama"
Background: As in many countries overseas, Japan went absolutely crazy two years ago at the prospect of a "President" Obama. Once he won, a whole cottage industry came alive, selling (hawking) CDs and texts of speech upon speech by He Who Must Be Worshipped, The Messiah, teaching Japanese everything from "the spirit of Change and Hope possible in Great America", to "correct English pronunciation through Obama", to "How to be a great English debater (a master debater as it were; sample below) just like President Obama", ad infinitum, ad naseum. These Japanese books flooded bookstores here all over in Japan, were seen on trains and were heavily bought, were made mandatory texts in some public schools and the like.
Now, however, things have gone south and the Kenyan Emperor apparantly has no clothes. LOL!
I caught the promotional jacket cover of one of the copies on the shelves in a prominent part of the famous Kinokuniya bookstore here in Tokyo.
It teased the potential reader in part, in Japanese (my translation):
I started laughing while thumbing through this book--I expect it will catch on like hotcakes. Many serious news articles and other books increasingly highly critical of Obama as being an empty suit are starting to really gain traction here in Japan.
Indeed, the crown does appear to be falling off somwhat here overseas. And not a moment too soon.
If only the Japanese People had been told the truth upfront in 2007 and 2008 (and the American People for that matter) about this defective bill of goods.
(Pathetically said, at the time on this book's cover, "He's even BETTER than President KENNEDY!!") (sic)
He’s not as intelligent As Advertised either.
Ping!
How do the Japanese rate his bowing?
Hey thanks for the info. I see a lot of your posts. Great having someone on the other side seeing it. Thanks.
Amazing what one Taepodong-II missile shot across the bow of military ally Japan preceded and followed by a baptism of scuds and No-Dongs, with little-to-no response from the incompetent, quisling Usurper, can do to shake things up and wake people up.
Oh Oh! I sense a narcissistic meltdown in the future. He won’t take this criticism well. Too thin skinned. Going to deconstruct! Can’t laught at himself. Oh Oh!
Insulting, Inappropriate, Insincere and Incorrect.
No, this definitely will not go down very well, it may force his Memorial Day weekend vacation get-a-way into a week long excursion with the family, with some couch time with the shrink perhaps. Poor little man. Poor little Napoleon.
Smart people who paid attention knew the truth about bambi. Morons did not. Its that simple. Shame on anyone who believed Obama was anything more than a pathetic fraud.
I am outraged that the Japanese are ridiculing the President of the United States.
That’s our job, dammit.
It knew no limitation, didnt it. I remember idiots jumping up and down in orgasmic bliss in all these villages, hamlets and big cities all over the globe (CNN was there every minute) from Auckland to Lima to Dubai to Prague to Osaka to Nairobi to Berlin, all over the world, on that horrid November night. What idiots. This man is going to get us into a horrendous war, and he has already ruined our economy and trashed our Constitution. Wonderful, ain’t it?
I like the book title!
LOL!
Well, the pleasure is all mine! ;-)
A worldwide clusterf the likes of which I hope we never see again.
You can say that again.
Things are not going well in the White House.
One. The fact has come out that Obama and Rahm Emmanuel were long time members at a gay bathhouse in Chicago. Gulp!
Two. The pressure is building over an administration job offered to Sestak, a position in Obama’s administration supposedly tendered by Rahm Emmanuel.
