***** “ That was Jack Bailey. Wow, now there was a tearjerker! LOL “ ******
Well I was like 6 years old (I was definitely a candidate for kids say the darndest things)
TT
“He is survived by his wife, Lois, whom he married in 1935.” Wow. Rest in peace, Art.
RIP. First of all, a wonderful man - warm, funny, principled. Next of all a great MC/entertainer. His talks with children are still classic, and no one enjoyed them more than Art Linkletter himself.
RIP.
I recall Queen for a Day..Do you want to be Queen for a Day?
We always watched anything Mr Linkletter hosted.Favorite was the Kids say the darndest tho
RIP Art Linkletter
I remember he brought the humor out in others with mild joshing, although as a teenage jerk I thought he was kinda corny. The hippies put him down, later I understood why. He was all-American, good to the bone. As years went on it made me glad that he lived on and on. Positive attitude, love for fellow man, finding the good in others, you can’t convince me that they don’t help you live a long happy life.
but not this one—Mar 26 DP but not latest
Really? I should start listening again.
yes he mentioned it when he mentioned Art’s passing. I wasn’t listening to the orig airing because I was helping my Dad move into assisted living but heard it via the 1 am rebroadcast
Gotcha!
