How is a scope local to a rifle going to compensate for wind downrange? I was taught to look at angles to determine the wind velocity downrange, how is a scope going to do that?! Check out Doppler LIDAR. It's like radar but uses much smaller wavelength laser light pulses instead of radio and therefore can see the motion of individual air particles. I would love a device like this for thermal hunting when paragliding. Making no mistakes a paraglider, hang-glider or sailplane might fly hundreds of miles until sunset.

Why stop at sunset? Keep on keeping on!
