My guess: she quits the UK and abdicates her title in exchange for $ from the Queen. A modern day remittance man. Once she's here someone somewhere in the US will pay her to show up and do something just for the publicity.
I wonder what her public value would be without the duchess title? No one would need to call her “your grace” anymore if QEII gave her dough in return for the title.
