Sarah Palin's fact-free commentary on Paul and BP (WaPo)

It was not Palin's fault that she was woefully unprepared to be the Republican vice presidential nominee. For that one, blame the petulant, impetuous John McCain.

But Palin has had ample time now, outside the crash course of a presidential campaign, to develop and exhibit some understanding of the issues. Her learning curve, from all the available evidence, is a flat line.

Three unattractive Palin traits have, if anything, been amplified since the election: her unwillingness to buckle down and do the necessary preparation; her tendency to adopt what McCain adviser Steve Schmidt described as a "down is up and up is down" version of reality; and her enhanced sense of injury at the hands of what she oh so cleverly refers to as the "lamestream media."...

"There were numerous instances that she said things that were . . . not accurate," Schmidt said on CBS's "60 Minutes" in January. "And I think that that is something that continues to this day." Indeed.

Sarah Palin has more facts on the palms of her hands than the entire Democrat party does in its’ collective head.

Everyone once in a while you run across an article like this where it is hard to know where to start since all of it is completely wrong.

I will leave at two things:

First, Steve Schmidt has zero credibility. Using him as a source demonstrates the weakness of her position and, frankly, her agenda. As an aside, McCain is truly pathetic if he thinks we have all forgotten his pro-amnesty position as he sand-shifts to counter J.D.

Second, Palin didn't coin "lamestream media". Geez.

“It was not Palin’s fault that she was woefully unprepared to be the Republican vice presidential nominee.”

Just as it was not Obama’s fault that he was woefully unprepared to be President.

“Ruth, you know you may have PDS when.......”

And Ruth is not entitled to her own set of facts, either.

It is easy to hate BP just now, but then, who was taking huge donations from BP to get elected? (For those of you from Rio Linda, it was BHO, not Sarah.) BP would not have been drilling in mile-deep water just now, except that it has been made almost impossible to get to any of the easier reserves available ABOVE the surface of the ocean, say like in the Alaska Natural Wildlife Reserve. Using almost the same technology as that applied in the Gulf of Mexico, but at the surface where it would be MUCH easier to control, contain and clean up spills, we could have oil flowing already from Alaska.

In fact, Sarah Palin was going one-on-one with BP LONG before this fiasco in the Gulf, in which there is a huge on-going experiment in using the mixing of crude petroleum with sea water to create - what?

This could turn out to be a fairly cheap energy source, as the tar balls are harvested and turned into fuel for power generation plants. Maybe not as cost-effective as using coal, but tar ball production is being heavily subsidized, as reflected by the continuing production despite huge expenditures by the corporations involved, the other industries affected, and the government at the Federal, state, and local levels.

And think of the possibilities of eventually being able to utilize the clathrate compounds, particularly Methane Hydrate, as an energy source in the future. Perhaps more has been learned about the nature of Methane Hydrate in the past month than was ever known before.

If BP had not been working on the ocean floor, we probably would never have learned this much.

Sarah Palin is a washed up no nothing has been....anyone can clearly see that by her lack of speaking engagements and the paltry amount they pay her for them... as opposed to the atmospheric amounts paid to the writers for the Washington Post!

McCain may be a bit of a loose cannon, but "impetuous" and "petulant" are projecting traits onto him from a certain community organizer we all know.

I wonder if she would like a list of the demonstrably false crap that comes out of Obabmi’s mouth on a daily basis. Her Messiah’s learning curve is worse than flat line, it is verticle in the wrong direction.

If that ever happens, there will be mass suicides from many in PDS crowd on the left. All tall buildings and high bridges will need to have signs posted saying that no liberals are allowed, at least until Palin's term(s) are over.
