Hello American Samoa! Were from the government and were here to help you. Were going to ensure you earn a living wage by forcing employers to pay you a minimum wage equal to workers in the United States. Sounds great right?

When did this minimum wage increase slip through? I remember three years ago when Pelosi protected Starkist (from her region and maybe her actual district) from having Samoan's minimum wages from being increased while those of the Northern Mariana Islands were.

As I mentioned in the bottom of my post, there was that story about the Pelosi/StarKist connection, but in 2007 when the law was signed, it DID end up including American Samoa.
