To be fair, through most of its existence, Mossad could get away with stunts like this. Even where hotels had security cameras, they didn't keep the tapes, and the cassettes were reused so much that they could barely be used to identify people you knew. Israel simply failed to plan for the effect of recent changes in technology on figuring out what happened after the fact. I'll bet they learned a lot from this and the next one will be back to their usual level of untraceability.
