expendable Americans unmourned - their deaths even welcomed-by their nation
and good profits to boot

I’m sure you’re familiar with the scene in the Bible where Jesus instructs the seventy to eventually shake the dust from their sandals and move on ... some people love their drugs more than even life itself, and certainly more than the lives and security of their families. Their families would be better off without them; they are the dust to be shaken off of the sandals.
