Today in California, we’re seeing how desperate the NRSC’s handpicked candidate, Carly Fiorina, really is.
Despite massive monetary advantages in her campaign, mostly thanks to writing herself checks and getting the blessing from the NRSC’s Rob Jesmer and his ilk, she still performs worse than Chuck DeVore against Barbara Boxer, and she’s lost the momentum in the race.
So in a last ditch effort to win, her allies are using the Richard Blumenthal story to try to create a blatantly false perception of Chuck DeVore.
Carly’s official campaign Twitter account complained just the other day about DeVore’s status as a “military reservist.” I’ve already told you about that. Now the stakes are higher, thanks to a Los Angeles Times story which paints DeVore as participating in what Larry Sabato, a political observer whose views I usually respect, calls “resume enhancement.”
Chuck DeVore enlisted in 1983 in the US Army. He got through college on a ROTC scholarship. He has served in the National Guard and now is still a commissioned officer in the Reserves. He has never claimed — NEVER — to be someone who has experienced combat in the line of duty.

This says nothing about DeVore’s character but speaks volumes about his opponent and her supporters. Low, crass, unprincipled and running scared for starters.

Other than not being quite as dumb as Barbara Boxer, what other things qualify her to serve in the U.S. Senate?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Sarah Palin endorse Carly Fiorina? Maybe I’m thinking of someone else.

No, you’re right.
I’m voting for DeVore in the primary but it’s likely to end up being Fiorina.
Then it’s a choice between Fiorina & Boxtard which, tho not ideal, is a no brainer.
The chance to be rid of Boxtard just can’t be squandered.
Chuck is getting our family’s vote!
I like Sarah. And I’m sure Carly would have to be at least marginally better than Boxer, since it would be impossible to be worse.
I’m voting for DeVore.
Marginally better just doesn’t do it for me, unless thats all there is.
This isn’t the race that worries me, since there is an actual conservative in the race. Its the governor’s race that worries me. The menu consists of thin gruel versus cold cereal.
