Not a great story because the UK Guardian is a crap paper but a lot of interesting things. Mainly - the failure of socialism and evil of govt union workers. The Guardian would obviously post a story from Berlin cause it is liberal and mostly broke.

They talk about how Europeans foolishly rushed towards this naive one-europe idea. Sold like Hope & Change and just as bad.

Now the Germans want their D-Mark back and it will happen. Germans even in liberal Berlin are enraged about paying for Greek unionized civil servants.

So we see Greece was a tipping point for the failure of: socialism, big corrupt govt, govt unions, etc etc.

It seems like Europeans are waking up. Maybe they will also wake up to the threat of Islam. What is interesting is America is facing the same dilemma of bankruptcy do to govt workers unions, open borders, etc. I have less confidence here because the idiots are brainwashed by TV.

The 5 TV networks who control 95+% of all the channels are 100% for Obama. Fox/Saudia is not any better because the Saudis bought the white hut in 2008.

Is it any wonder no white caucasians (ie europeans and americans) are having children? Why bring them into a world where they will have to fight like cornered rats for survival?

Cabaret artists have been making jokes about wheelbarrows of notes, or telling the one about the German and the Greek who go out to eat, the German choosing the cheapest item on the menu, the Greek gorging on a range of dishes, before the waiter brings the German the bill at the end.

the first refers to the hyperinflation in Weimar Era.

Our future is playing out before our eyes in Europe. It’s too bad so many aren’t paying attention. I guess those of us who are just need to keep shouting out to those who aren’t and try to get them to focus on reality.

QUESTION:

How do you stop everyone in Europe from taking all their Euros and changing them into NDM ('Neue Deutschmark')?

It is just like the USA where govt union workers around the country but especially in places like CA, NY(c), DC, IL, MI are gorging while the avg taxpayer is suffering.

The CA govt pensions are broke and other states are in the same boat. Small Conneticut has about an $80 billion unfunded govt workers pension liabilities and 3 million residents.

Americans state and Federal govt liabilities are astronomical compared to Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, etc.

I forgot to point out that the Guardian newspaper which has always been a lib trade unionist paper is writing a story here on the failures of socialism. They go out of their way to not connect the dots.

Yup. The world also penalizes responsible behavior now. Barbarians will outbreed the people who hold societies together. The moeny is running out now. The responsible people will have to take up arms before it is too late.

"Only the X serial numbers come from the Bundesbank"

Interesting, but it would really p off all those Germans holding non-X bills .... and you know what happens when Germans get really p.d off.

"Her statement sums up the frustration of a country that for years, to make up for its warmongering past, shouldered the burdens of the European project."

Now there's something that catches the eye of anyone who's ever read an Ayn Rand novel.

Since 1945, that has been exactly zero. Europe would never allow it - that’s part of the reason the Euro exists.

The German public is starting to feel like a pack of mugs, a lot like the American public. They are going into debt for Millions of Euros, loaning it out to idiotic countries like Greece, to support someone elses dream of a United Europe.
And on top of this, NO COLATERAL.
Is it any wonder Europe is going more conservative.

What has been exactly zero? Cash money is fungible. If I go to Europe, I play with Euros but I don’t check to see if they have an X as part of the serial number.

I have read (and even copied here :), "[The European Monetary Union] suddenly emerged as a very real possibility in the aftermath of the Soviet Union collapse. France was concerned that Germany would divert its attention to the East and Germany formally needed the Allies, including France, to agree to its re-unification with East Germany. President Mitterrand linked his support to the establishment of a common currency and Chancellor Kohl accepted the deal.

"With little experience to rely upon and limited theoretical backing, economists and policy-makers had to invent practically everything in little time. Policy-makers rushed to negotiate a detailed agreement, having no time for detailed economic analysis. . . ."

I do remember story after story over the years of the 1950's and beyond that France longed for a way to supplant the dollar -- or at least reduce its influence. The Euro was it. I bet. Nice try -- but we can do that all by ourselves, thank you.

Germans have done exactly zero in response to being p -ed off since 1945. I see them taking the tact of Sweden after the death of Gustavius Adolfus during the Thirty Years’ War from here on out, Russian intervention notwithstanding.
