My kids will be using my grandfather's textbooks at home for reference. Texas's State Board of Ed just revolted against the tide of garbage. They ordered the schoolbook printers to put Thomas Jefferson back in American history, de-Marxify the subject of economics, teach capitalism and the incidental fact that it has made us the richest nation on earth, and drop the crap about "institutional racism". They also informed the textbook publishers that the U.S. is not a "democracy" but a "constitutional republic" -- stick THAT in your pipes and smoke it!
They also hugely annoyed the Marxists by telling the schoolbook publishers to include the fact that the American Civil War had two sides! How annoying!!
