If I’m not mistaken, Case and Hanabusa will face off in a regular primary if neither one drops out.

Yes, I checked that out and the primary is Sept. 18. So the nasty battle between Case and Hanabusa rages for 4 more months. There isn’t any indication that either will drop out (or they would have done so in the special) or that they will call a truce.

I was kind of hoping that Case would finish 2nd so he would be steeled more to continue on and Obama and the unions would be forced to fuel the fire behind Case. But with Hanabusa having a good showing, Obama and the unions just might abandon Case and throw their weight behind Hanabusa to try to dampen the fire. If that’s the case, it once again shows that Obama has no sway at all at the local level.
