Looks about right, I think they were nicknamed Chinooks.

They don’t normally fly around here.

Only other military helicopter I remember was the MH-53, the Black Copters flown out of Fort Hurlburt, FL. Saw a few on the ground and the physical radar model where I worked.

I saw the C-130’s taking off in a circular altitude gaining pattern from Hurlburt to supply the night vision operations of the MH-53s’ over Eastern KY where it was dark at night, their training ground.

That’s why they get complaints about black helicopters flying over, they’re just training.

They could have been assigned the POTUS support mission to haul vehicles, Secret Service personnel and equipment. This mission gets doled out to Army aviation units on a regular basis.
