no argument here..... seemingly, it is a tough airport apparantly (up on a plateau)...go over the side and that’s the end of things.

How many planes have come down recently?A lot less than did in previous decades. A LOT less.
Why?
Because flying is complex and somewhat dangerous.
Is scripture worth considering?
In terms of our relationships with God? Certainly. In terms of how we react to death and suffering? Of course. But I'm not sure that's what you mean.

>"if there was ever an anti Christ figure, it was him"I'd say mudhamhead is the most likely suspect.
Islam is certainly a beast/multitude/hoard.
The greek symbol for 666 looks remarkably like the arabic symbol for satanallah's islam. It even has the "crossed swords" below.

I believe it's to wake us up and look at Him and listen. That's always true.

NDTV: “chances appear bleak at this time to get out any more survivors.”

Western Christianity never recognized this story and the story has been proven to be false.
Is there more to substantiate the second part of that sentence besides the first part of the sentence?

Wow. Good job. People die in an air crash, and all you can say is, “they had it coming to ‘em”.
Excellent.

Probably Bajpe (IXE), about 11 KM NNE of Mangalore. 200+ foot dropoffs at both ends of both runways. (The longer of which may still be under construction).

So, God did it?
Planes crash, they aren’t foretold in the bible.

This one is way too close to home, though given the timing it is unlikely that any of my coworkers would be headed that direction from Dubai on a Saturday morning. Prayers for the families and the survivors.
(I'm just happy Mrs. Altair's flight that landed early this morning in Bangalore via Bangkok and Mumbai was uneventful).

There's at least one FReeper in Karnataka.
I haven't been much outside Bangalore. Judging by dress, I'd estimate there are a much higher percentage of Christians than Muslims. People died. There were Christians amongst them, not that it matters. It was a tragic accident.
Another troublesome factor about this morning is that there is a cyclone in the area and this is the monsoon season. Bangalore was pretty calm last night (no rain) and this morning, Mangalore is near by so it was probably about the same. Mrs. Altair informs me that there was a somewhat rough ride from Mumbai (her plane landed at 5:30am).

OMG, prayers going up!! We’re going to India in a few weeks, this is just awful! Just saw a followup with a picture of a rescued little girl, covered with foam, they say she was burned badly. :*(
God, be with her and all of those hurt by this accident!

Reports of a ‘tyre bursting’ on landing. Survivors said landing was smooth to that point.

Expert on now saying that plane caught on fire on runway BEFORE going over the side and breaking in half, brought up example of Concorde crash where tire burst and heat from hot rubber set fuel aflame on underside of plane. He’s blasting having planes land on such a short runway...
