What surprises me is that congress just let’s this happen with little or no challenge. He bypasses the press, the people and congress and there is no alarm. Interesting.

I am going to sue my past universities for malpractice in economics education. No one told me that executive fiat was sufficient for economic and technological progress. I was told about the importance of markets for allocation of scarce resources. Perhaps no one ever envisioned someone with the wisdom of our dear leader.

Our dear leader is applying the vice to Congress over carbon taxation. If Congress will not act, then our dear leader will shove it down our throats regardless of the fragile condition of our economy. Our dear leader would make Lenin and Marx blush.
