RUSH: There is a column in the New York Times today (I meant to mention this on top of the program) that I really can't believe they published.  Zev Chafets, who has a book coming out May 25th (called Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One) has sort of a preview of the book in a column today, The Limbaugh Victory, and it's not just about Tuesday, it's about the past year. I was informed of it last night. I saw it last night when they posted it on their website. I looked at it and said, "How did this get past Bill Keller? How did this get past Jill Abramson and how did it get past Gail Collins? How did it get past any of the editors at the New York Times?" (interruption) No, I'm not going to read it.  We've linked to it at RushLimbaugh.com. You know, Snerdley, I don't like talking about myself that much. 

Here's the point: It's the third most popular (i.e., the third most e-mailed) article in the paper today. It is the most popular op-ed in the New York Times today.  It's published right there on page A-27 right along with Nicholas Kristof, who is a staff columnist.  It is number eight on the overall list, which includes the cumulative totals from previous days as well, and it's rising every hour.  So... (interruption) I'm not going to take the time.

RUSH:  Ladies and gentlemen, I know I said that I might read Zev Chafets' column in the New York Times today, "The Limbaugh Victory," but I'm not going to read it. (interruption) No, I'm not going to read it because the New York Times needs hits.  They're just in trouble over there. There aren't enough people visiting their website. Even though they're preparing to go behind a pay wall in January, they're still in trouble.  And, you know, we want to help out wherever we can, and this column is already the most e-mailed column on the op-ed page.  It's the third most e-mailed column or story in a whole paper. (interruption)  All right.  Snerdley wants just a tease.  His strategy was simple.  "His strategy was simple. With Democrats controlling Congress, Mr. Limbaugh saw that there was no way to stop the president’s agenda. He dismissed the moderates’ notion that compromising with the president would make Republicans look good to independents. Instead he decreed that the Republicans must become the party of no, and force Democratic candidates -- especially centrists -- to go into 2010 with sole responsibility for the Obama program and the state of the economy. And that is what has happened." All right, that's an excerpt from Zev Chafets' "The Limbaugh Victory," and this is a preview to his book.  I did participate in the book.  It's Rush Limbaugh: Army of One. The publish date is May 25th. Next Tuesday is when it comes out.

Rush was right. Problem is the weepublicans do not know how to fight, say no, or see that this is THE battle for the very survival of our country. Look at the very disappointing Scott Brown today putting the deathnocrats over the top on the financial “reform” bill that just continues Crime Inc.

They may hate Beck more, but they have to know that Limbaugh is the most effective and dangerous of their opponents. Both of them are in the cross-hairs. The day either one of them is shut down is the day politics ends and politics by other means begins.
