2 West Memphis Police Officers Shot to Death (suspects killed also)

Just happened in the last hour or so. One of the killed police officers is the son of the Chief of Police.

Probably some middle aged white guy that doesn’t like the health care bill or something.

Not really...a few rough places along I-55, but it’s nothing compared to some of the notorious neighborhoods in SW Memphis, like Orange Mound. That area would be a fitting “sister city” for East Saint Louis.

In decades past, a lot of people moved to West Memphis (and further north in Crittenden County) to get away from Memphis. More recently, the suburbs in northern Mississippi are booming.

When I was a kid, I used to visit my aunt and uncle in Whitehaven, the portion of Memphis that lies along the Mississippi state line. Back in those days, it was a nice suburb. These days, Whitehaven is looking more and more like Orange Mound. Everyone who can afford to has moved into northern Mississippi, or the eastern suburbs of Memphis (Germantown, Collierville), or into Fayette County.

One of those officers killed was the son of the West Memphis Chief of Police. Another was a relative.

I got a little nervous watching all those officers surrounding the van with guns drawn. If they needed to fire their weapon and missed, they’d probably hit each other. Fortunately, the suspects were already deceased.

If they are illegal, their deaths IMHO, are attributed the Federal Govt., illegal supporters, open borders crowd, Barry Obama, Calderon, etc. They have BLOOD on their hands.
