There is no dishonor in having served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

But there seems to have been no shortage of dishonorable Democrat politicians who have served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve: Murtha, Blumenthal . . .

Murtha served in Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze star and two Purple Hearts. It is wholly unseemly for Freepers, especially Freepers who did not serve, to criticize the honorable military service of political opponents.

Murtha, like Blumenthal, was a slime ball deserving of derision but that derision is deserved for behavior other than serving in the Marine Corps.
