Kerry really was in Vietnam, and probably also in Cambodia. It seems likely to me that he confused Tet with Christmas in his mind and wound up sounding like a pathological liar. It cost him the White House and indirectly led to the age of Obama. On such little details does our history depend.
Kerry really was in Vietnam; true. But nearly everyting else he had to say about anything regarding it was refuted by the rest of the Swift Boat veterans.
