The candidate who on Tuesday won the special election in a Pennsylvania congressional district is right-to-life and pro-gun. He accused his opponent of wanting heavier taxes. He said he would have voted against Barack Obama's health-care plan and promised to vote against cap-and-trade legislation, which is a tax increase supposedly somehow related to turning down the planet's thermostat. This candidate, Mark Critz, is a Democrat.

If he does EVEN ONE of those things I’ll kiss his ass in Times Square (if it’s still here!). Satan called Murtha home to eternal hellfire so he’s right where he should be. The DemonRats just replaced that POS with another POS!

Heh. Lots of Democrats like to run to the right of conservatism. It is the only way they can get elected. But the fact is there is no such thing as a conservative Democrat. The fact that a majority of voters in PA 12 fell for the lie says more about their stupidity than it does about a Democrat’s supposed conservative credentials.

Well he talks a good talk — but it would be interesting to see how he actually walks.

In NW Florida we have Representative Allen Boyd (D) who always runs as everybody’s sweet old grandfather and a staunch conservative. In Washington he does not deviate from the Left party Line even a smidgen, but so long as he sounds good in the campaigns he gets re-elected with large majorities in an otherwise solid Republican zone.

The Dems learned this trick (run to the right of the Pubbie, then govern to the left of Pelosi!) in ‘06 and ‘08. Critz - whom we all know will never vote like he ran (unless it’s in one of those situations in which Pelosi doesn’t “need” his vote) - was able to make these claims because, alas, he had no voting record. Similarly, most of the “conservative” Dems running in ‘06 and ‘08 were newbies without a track record. Now, however, these folks are on record and their support of the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Marxist destruction-of-America agenda will belie any claims of “conservatism” that they might make in November.

Mr George Will, you are the stupid one; you are hearing those who see through it right on this FR thread:

"They" will always run as conservative, to win the election. But come time to taste the Party money and insure another term of DC privileges and eternal 200k/yr pension, they will vote the way the party says. Even to the point, like John McCain, they will repeat election after election, the conservative line to get elected, then vote, and hide it, the way the money says to. Blatant apostasy.

Famous Mr Will, you are the stupid one. Maybe you included are paid to be the token conservative by the Media syndicate, and to hide the reality.
