The full pomp of state dinner? No big deal. Honoring our enemy to the South while treating our allies like dirt? Now THAT bothers me. The fact that Obama is treating Calderon like this tells me everything I need to know about both of them.
The fact that Desiree Rogers was seen earlier on the steps with a jug of mineral oil is purely coincidental.

Maybe I’m being a bit over the top, but I think this country is in a political war between immoral, evil people and the forces of good. Keep in mind that evil people rarely admit to being evil, because like all people, they use self defense mechanisms to justify themselves.
I think we are seeing battle lines in a spiritual war. On one side we have those who admire abortion, homosexuality, envy, class and race warfare, etc. They literally appeal to the worst in humans. On the other hand, we have people who believe in individual liberty, personal morality, and the rule of law. While falling short, we aspire to do what is good and right.
Did they remember to invite a few of the VIPs hanging around at the local Home Depot parking lot?

Well, it sure is different than when Bill Clinton had Mexican Ambassador Jorge Montaño waiting in the other room while he and Monica were having fun. Times change. I wonder if the Mexican President Calderon will remember that his Ambassador had to WAIT, trying to get the NAFTA deal done while Bill was oh...so busy.
