I do remember discussing with him about not getting personal with an individual about some comments and thus not get into flame wars (as was happening)... and thus, it was about keeping it on issue and not personal with particular people.

Are you telling us to believe you have private conversations with Jim Robinson, or is this just Dick Blumenthal misspeaking???

When you invoked your remarks about "Birthers" here on a none "Birther" thread you just instigate that flame war you were warned about!!!

Yeah, we talked on FReepmail.... and it was discussing about the flaming ...

And in regards to mentioning the birthers... that’s not flaming ... LOL ... what we’re talking about in flaming (as in flame wars) is when you call a particular person that you’re talking to on a thread names, as opposed to discussing the issues ... :-)

So, making the comparison with the thinking on this thread with others on Free Republic who are doing the exact same thing (as I also mentioned another thread, too... in the same manner, which was not a birther thread, either), that’s not calling an individual poster some “name” ... that’s your flame war... the name calling.

Vigorous argument on issues is not name-calling, and that’s okay to argue your point...
