How are Catholics priests any different from other Christian ministers.

1. Most all Christian ministers who abuse are immediately removed from service and turned over to law enforcement and subsequently end up in prison.

2. Systemic organizational criminal cover-up is uncommon (See #1)

Prove your #1. Your #2 means nothing because other religions and other Christian denominations don't have a central organization with a centrally recognized head.

If there are no statistics showing comparisons of Catholic "crimes and cover-ups" to other religions and the general population, that's proof this entire issue is bogus and carried out by atheist haters of God.

The case goes back to 1976. What was the standard institutional response to such accusations at that time? And I agree the Church had and failed to confer to a higher standard.

What is the Church’s policy now? And why do you keep implying that nothing has changed in the handling of current cases? Have you read any of the USCBB policies on this?

As to the documents the Bishop seems to be saying he will turn over any documents in accordance with a court decision. There may very well be sensitive material that is not pertinent to the allegations contained within the documents and just turning over everything willy nilly may be very ill advised.
