Now, why wouldn't Obama have a Midas touch on people's campaigns? The writer of this article, typical of the MSM, just can't seem to fathom any possible answer and just comes up with excuses, for surely Obama can't be a negative influence, now can he:
There's only so much the president can do to help other candidates, especially in a non-presidential election year
In fairness, Deeds was an underdog from the start
Corzine brought many problems on himself
Obama made no late-campaign appearances for Specter
and, you guessed it, ...
But Sestak caught fire in the closing days, partly through a TV ad showing Specter campaigning enthusiastically with then-President George W. Bush
...it's Bush's fault :)

When does he go just plain "nuts" on us and declare all out Martial Law?
That is the main question in my mind. A narcissist can only take so many insults to his or her ego, particularly if they have a lot of power under their thumb which they could excercise at a moment's notice.

I'd imagine many of the Progressives, Statists, and out and out Communists surrounding him still have enough common sense to keep him from doing this.
It'd would be all over for the Liberals in America, and all their supporting cast including the media if he tried a silly stunt like that.
The Dems wouldn't be able to buy a Dog Catcher's position for decades to come.

He’s waiting for his Reichstag Fire moment. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like those Idaho militiamen, disgruntled veterans and bitter clingers are going to oblige.
A major Islamist terror attack is much more likely to result in his impeachment than in millions flocking to his banner.
If he actually tries to fabricate a domestic terror incident, Putin-style, he’ll be found out.
Meanwhile, November draws ever closer.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:
If anyone actually takes a shot at him, it’ll be one of his own. Tavis Smiley notwithstanding, how many of our black brothers are quietly seething at the ruin he’s bringing upon them?

It's all over for liberals anyway. And it's going to be very difficult for any black person to be elected President of the US again any time soon. Whether that person is 1/8 black, or all black. Especially if that person is a democrat.
So they have nothing to lose by trying to overthrow our current form of government.
As far as those ... "surrounding him still have enough common sense ...", name 1.

Well, I understand your perspective.
By common sense, I mean they are smart enough to figure out that if Zero attempted anything like that, it would be all over for them.
Maybe I meant self-interest.

That's my theory, too. I think that is the trajectory he and Emanuel and Jarret and Axelrod are on.
He has only that option. And we know they would do it. And they know that we know that they would do it. And we know that they know that we know they would do it.
It will be interesting days indeed, leading up to the "Declaration of Special Emergency Measures" by President Barack Hussein Obama.
Hmmm mmmm MMMM!

I wish I knew more of the technical details. He would have to request emergency powers of congress. Then again, he could simply ignore them. Since when did he ever let the law get in his way?
But I don’t think even a dem congress would hold still for this. Nor the Supreme Court.
He’d go down as another Zelaya or even Allende if he tried that.

It’s self-preservation and power perks.
I don’t see Nancy Pelosi or Dingy Harry or the rest of the dem majority letting Obama usurp their authority.
And I don’t see Obama trusting the military enough to try using them in a coup.
And it’s far too late to raise his private brownshirt army.

Dont worry . The plan is Health Care ( done already ) Cap and Trade , Immigration and the Fairness Doctrine . He has almost 3 more years to go . If he accomplishes this he wont need to declare marshal law , the game will be over at that point and we will be a full blown Marxist state.

You should have seen the episode where he filled in for Larry King last month.
He had on Ann Coulter and some telegenic liberal sistah.
She rattled off this bogus figure about Obama having lowered taxes 125 times. Then projected smiling confidence about how great he was and all the wonderful things he was doing for us.
Ann countered, but frankly Ann is not that effective a debater in my opinion.
She should not have gotten bogged down in detail but simply asked the audience if they felt their situation had improved over the last year-and-a-half.
That’s the ticket, don’t play your opponent’s game. Ann likes too much to be combative.
I just wonder how long the likes of ol’ Tavis think they can fool people into thinking Obama’s the best thing since sliced bread (and that he actually gives a damn about the bruthas).

If not Maurice Bishop of Grenada, considering the decrepit ilk Patrice Lumumba Obongo runs the streets with (outright "dictatorship of the proletariat, baby!"-type Marxists/Leninists). It wouldnt surprise me.
Everyone should read history. It would be very, very instructive indeed.

The question in your mind is entirely justified. There is no doubt in my mind that he and that “grizzly gang that work his wicked will” are already formulating concrete plans for the takeover. If you want to see how Obama’s mind works, study Mugabe. Obama’s health care takeover, for example, is almost a carbon copy of the Mugabe plan. And now, doctors in “Zimbabwe” make 32 cents a month. Obamugabe has big plans for us. And I would wager they definitely involve a machete-wielding national youth corps.
