Specter is a blight on American history. He was the father of the “single bullet” theory of the assassination of jfk , a total lie, totally repudiated by the 78 Congressional commission which found more than one assassin. Specter was a paid liar in my opinion and a disgrace to America. Go to hell you SOB.
There are something like 380,000+ more Dim votes than Republican votes at this time.
That’s not good news, my FRiend. Now, that’s not definitive, because the Specter race drew a lot of voters all on its own, while the Toomey race was a done deal before tonight.
Still . . . .
Rendell is gone after January too. Every poll I have seen shows the Republican favored to win but I hope that holds true after tonight. Looks like Demo turnout is far higher than GOP. This is the opposite of what happened in OH. Maybe it was just because of the more heated Demo Senate primary.
Last numbers I saw showed Demo Critz winning Murtha’s seat. Very sad. People in that district are just plain stuck on stupid I guess.

Heavily Dem district, lots of union types, fond memories of Murtha — those people will only vote for what or who they know. When one delegate to Harrisburg from Philly proposed seceding from PA back in 1976 he got over 200 co-sponsors. He had to pull the bill for shame.

I am less optimistic now that Republicans will win Congress. They had a lot going for them in Murtha’s district and as of now GOPer Tim Burns is losing. Maybe it is just because it happened on the day of a hotly contested statewide Demo primary but still it is a major defeat. If Charles Djou does not win in Hawaii this Sat. it will be another blow, but he is leading as of now.
