President Obama today signed into law The Daniel Pearl Freedom of Press Act, which expands efforts to identify countries that don’t share our love for the First Amendment. He also took time to honor the man the bill is named after, journalist Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and beheaded by Islamic extremists in 2002 in what the President — with nary a teleprompter in sight — called a moment that ‘captured the world’s imagination.’ The Obama administration has pushed to have Pearl’s professed killer, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, tried in civilian court.

A very, very odd choice of words. Not too farfetched to read admiration into it.

There’s been several video beheadings in the media, but Danny is remembered. I guess that time it was “one of them”.

"Bla bla, we 'lost' Daniel Pearl, imagination, new law, great press, bla bla bla, let's sign and go to lunch.."

He sure underscored that blase attitude with "and, uhhhhh, there ya go!" Which sounded a lot like "OK I signed the stupid thing and gave you some pens what the hell more do you want from me?"

Shaking my head again. Imagination? It made me sick to my stomach. How sick & twisted 0 is.

You've got that right.

The moon landing captured the imagination of the world.

The fall of the Berlin wall captured the imagination of the world.

The advent of the personal computer and the internet captured the imagination of the world.

Amazing Olympic performances capture the imagination of the world.

Heroic deeds of any kind capture the imagination of the world.

Barry0 is a sociopathic pathological narcissist. He was bored nearly to tears here because this did nothing to aggrandize himself.

What would Obama have said to Japan after Pearl Harbor was bombed?..... You have captured America's imagination?....

No. The picture says differently. He must have said "You have captured America's respect!"

I've never met one who impressed me, which is comical when you consider how much it costs to attend those places.

They do make some interesting, life-long personal connections, however.

Harvard, and the Ivy League is a very exclusive club. The dues are expensive.

My friend visited the Harvard campus recently with her kids, just to show them the campus. She said she saw no white students and the Muslim call to prayer was ringing or whatever it does- throughout the campus. Doesn’t sound like much of an American college to me anymore.

The usurper-in-chief is talking to his muslim brothers, telling them to continue. With his remarks, Obama is further polarizing us against muslims, hoping to generate a conflict so he and his can more easily identify the “enemy” within (that’s us), while giving the “thumbs-up” to his islamic brethren. He also seems to be giving the “OK” to his leftist cronies and supporters that it is alright to do horrible things, as long as one feels right in his own heart.

This will not end well.
