Regarding George W. Bush and Amnesty--which he pushed from the very early days of his Administration in 2001, it will come out 10, 20 years from now, Good Lord-willing.

Just what WAS "the fix", what WAS the "mordida", the bribe or the arrangement that made W so stubborn to sell out out US sovereignty along our Souther Border in that brash, unyielding way? I myself still believe it must have been some promise to Mexican drug cartel money in the future, through many layers of intermediaries, or that they had something on either hi or his daughters that they threatened to make public to embarrass him. So he did their bidding. Unceasingly. In the face of all national polls and his own internal Republican party rank and file. Hopefully a patriot who worked in the W White House will eventually come out and tell the truth. Hopefully in my lifetime as it is a big mystery as to *Why*

Being in Tokyo has not helped your mental capacity,

Bush is from Texas...In Texas you need the Hispanic vote.Bush was elected with the help of Hispanics. He,as well as all southwestern politicians know that to stay in power Republicans need to keep everyone happy. Bush’s plan for an immigration policy was much like Ronald Reagan’s. He attempted to say he would do 2 things :enforce the border and offer a limited form of amnesty. Ronald Reagan did exactly that and it did not work.
The Right fought the Immigration plan the Right won ...no new immigration plan ....no law . But they succeeded in getting Bush to push harder on Border enforcement ....This is something you and most of the yahoos on this thread will not give him credit for. He turned things around on the border

end of story ...all there is to it ....however since the Right won ...now the Left has a chance to shape immigration policy ...if they get their way the win will be the worst kind of defeat .

welcome to the real world

now go back to your dreamy caterwauling
