The well-known Rasmussen poll, done on 5/3 has Grassley leading Conlin 53% to 40 %. With no stories or scandals hitting the air ways or newspapers, it is hard to feature a loss of 4% in two days for Grassley.

IF you live in Iowa you may well think that Grassley is in trouble. Glad this gal questions KCCI and Des Moines Register numbers.

“With no stories or scandals hitting the air ways or newspapers, it is hard to feature a loss of 4% in two days for Grassley.”

If the above is true, than a 4% change in 2 days is nothing more than a sample variance within the margin of error. It doesn’t mean anything.

I would be excited if it were a conservative primary opponent catching up to him. This is the media’s way of trying to present this year as antiincumbent rather than anti liberal, whether it’s a Democrat or a Republican.

Rasmussen carefully screens for likely voters. Democrat polls ask anyone who will answer a phone. Different groups.

Margin of error?

I won’t trash the journalist.
I only took two statistics/probability classes in college and had to
work hard to wrap my mind around some concepts/tests.
Suprisingly, some of the engineers taking that class seemed to be
struggling as much as myself.
