Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (I) received a bounce in the polls when he left the Republican Party to run for the U.S. Senate as an independent. But a new Rasmussen survey suggests the bounce is over.
Marco Rubio leads the Senate race with 39%, followed by Crist at 31% and Rep. Kendrick Meek at 18%. Twelve percent are undecided.

Christ not giving donors their money back must have really POd alot of people.
And maybe his grandstanding over offshore drilling seemed desperate and cynical—like his decision to go Independent.
Now that looks better!
I was waiting for this, and am not that surprised. I knew that the “bump” that Crist got was not going to last.
Judas Crist is done now after his joking around.
Just out of curiosity, and after checking the original link as well - just what are the party affiliations of the other two candidates in the race?
There were some people here telling me Rubio couldn’t win with Crist running third party. Republicans everywhere need to grab their brooms, and sweep out the RINO poop.
Mark my words now, if in Arizona, J.D. Hayworth manages to wrest the GOP nomination away from Juan McStain, expect the King of RINOs to pull a Crist and run for the Senate as an Independent.
McLame would rather hand the seat over to one of his fellow ‘Rats, than let Hayworth win the general election.
Hip hip, hooray!!!!!!!!
I only worry about extreme voter fraud in the Primaries. This is how McCain got the nudge. NO ONE wanted him! Primaries in the SE areas are as corrupt as NY City. The absentee ballots will be ridiculous!
The Rinocratic Party’s heads are all starting to spin as their carefully crafted illusions are starting to collapse...
crist has suddenly become a populist.
And he is appearing on camera any and everywhere he can.
Still a schmuck though.
