It was a scene Saudi women’s rights activists have dreamt of for years.
When a Saudi religious policeman sauntered about an amusement park in the eastern Saudi Arabian city of Al-Mubarraz looking for unmarried couples illegally socializing, he probably wasn’t expecting much opposition.
But when he approached a young, 20-something couple meandering through the park together, he received an unprecedented whooping.
A member of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the Saudi religious police known locally as the Hai’a, asked the couple to confirm their identities and relationship to one another, as it is a crime in Saudi Arabia for unmarried men and women to mix.
For unknown reasons, the young man collapsed upon being questioned by the cop.
According to the Saudi daily Okaz, the woman then allegedly laid into the religious policeman, punching him repeatedly, and leaving him to be taken to the hospital with bruises across his body and face.

Going to a Catholic school doesn't make one a Catholic -- but in Islam -- being born into a Muslim family (and it's a Muslim family) makes all the kids Muslim. That's the way it works in Islam -- something that many don't know about ... :-)
Try to leave and there's a religious imperative (for any adherent) in Islam to kill you ... and all it takes is one killer out of over a billion of those crazy adherents to Islam to kill a defecter from Islam.
To paraphase one of my idols, Casey Stangle, she done splendid. These religious police goons are chosen because of their authoritarian stature and thuggery. A friend of mine who was married to an American oil company employee, was over there shopping in the bizarre. She accidentally bumped some Arab. She was wearing a burqa, and her hair appropriately covered. The guy she bumped called the religious police, and she was convinced she was going to women’s prison right then and there. An oil company executive who just happened to be in the bizarre saw what was going one, recognizing my friend by her voice—by now terrified, I’m certain. While the bumpee and the police guys were jabbering about what had happened, the executive grabbed my friend, ran from the religious police and he shoved her into an oil company limousine and jumped in after her. The driver nearly ran over people getting them out of there. The matter caused an international incident, and she was driven to the airport by the same executive and put on a plane that afternoon because they were concerned the religious police might try to kill her.
She would have to be a Muslim if she lived in most Muslim countries. But she doesn’t and isn’t.
In Islam, if you are born into a Muslim family, you're a Muslim. And in Islam, if you leave Islam, you are "fair game" for the religious imperative of Islam to kill you.
That keeps a lot of Muslims in this despicable, oppressive and evil idealogy.
Her family is Muslim and in addition, back in Lebanon, she has relatives who are top officials in the Hezbollah terrorist organization... hoo-boy!
Good for her, I read the whole story, to think they have cops going around arresting people for socializing, these people are absolutely sick in the head and a weak people with a weak god that he would need such foot soldiers, how lame.

Just answering someone who said that she wasn't a Muslim.... because in that case, she would be subject to that imperative and command from Islam (from any Msulim).
However, I agree with you -- in that this current "Miss USA" is a Muslim... no doubt about that. Even the media is saying that (i.e., that she's a Muslim, as they're saying "First Muslim to become Miss USA" LOL ...).

In Islam it doesn't say "devout" or "not devout" as to whether the children are Muslim. If the family is Muslim (which they say they are) then the kids are Muslim... and that's "Islam" -- not "America" ... doncha know.
Furthernore, yes people can "actually" leave Islam (as they do so all the time; many examples of converting to Christianity) -- but they are subject to being killed under the religious imperative of Islam, and anyone in Islam can kill them and it's considered commendable and "okay" for that adherent of Islam to do so. That's why those who have converted and are also prominent and well-known people and have declared that, are very careful about their security. They know that they can be killed by some Muslim at any time.
HOWEVER, in this case, it's also clear that this current "Miss USA" is a Muslim, because even the "media" is "declaring" -- "First Muslim Miss USA" -- and since she has not declared her abandonment of Islam (as others have, in declaring themselves to be "Christian" for example) -- then she's a Muslim, defacto -- and by her "word" (or rather her absence of declaring for another faith).

She obviously hasn't left, because she has not declared that and declared being of another faith. Other former Muslims have declared that they have left Islam and are now (for example) a "Christian".
It comes down to this -- if she has left Islam -- she is subject to being killed by any adherent of Islam because it's a imperative and a command from Islam to do so for anyone who does leave Islam.
And if anyone has not left Islam, then they don't have that imperative (for any adherent of Islam) to kill that person.
And so, if she declares she has left Islam -- then she will be subject to being killed as Islam says.
HOWEVER, with the media saying "First Muslim to win Miss USA" -- it's obvious she hasn't left Islam ... LOL ...

And I can assure you that there are many other Freepers and others in the general public who definitely do care what Islam says. It forms the "worldview" and "mindset" of over a billion people on this planet and that very worldview and mindset led to the attack of 9/11 -- so we better care what Islam says, because it has direct consequences in this country ...
In addition, those who do leave Islam do care what it says, because they speak out against it, and tell others "what Islam thinks" -- because they think this is important for those who are not "Muslim" to know. So, obviously they do care what Islam says and thinks. I can give a list of names where people are educating others in our current nation -- about what Islam says and "thinks" ...
