House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this week that thanks to the new health-care reform law musicians and other creative types could quit their jobs and focus on developing their talents because the taxpayers would fund their health care for them.
We see it as a entrepreneurial bill, Pelosi said, a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.
Pelosi made the remarks while speaking at the Capitol on Wednesday to the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Summit.

Wait ‘til we find out there’s NO free health care for the middle class... maybe no health care period...

“We see it as a entrepreneurial bill”
I thought entrepreneurs worked for a living, took risk, worked long hours and failed a lot before succeeding.
How is painting in a HUD apartment a business?
God, Nancy needs to GO!

I’m not sure her miming parts work that well anymore. Notice how much she has to work at pieholing. I think she’s about at her level of incompetence as things are and this way, we only have to cringe, not guess.

Surely this old bag’s brain is fried. How could anyone with a lick of sense say something like that? But, then, what should we expect from a far left, off the map Socialist?

I read this as her pretty much saying “just quit your jobs and we’ll pay you to be good little liberals”.

Oh, yeah, we all forgot - this country was founded on arts and music, not on anything so prosaic as hard work, sweat, and sacrifice to make real things that create a tangible improvement in the lives of real people. Stupid effing liberal.
