It's a beauty pageant. I think Miss Michigan is gorgeous. That's the extent of my interest in Miss USA. Now, if you want to make it all about politics, be my guest. For me, no thanks. I have greater things to worry about.

But seriously, I think she's gorgeous, too. I watched the event, and Miss Michigan stood out to me right away when all 51 girls were introduced. She's stunning. And like you, I'm of the quaint notion that beauty pageants should still be primarily about beauty. Natural beauty.

That's not to say Miss Oklahoma didn't get railroaded by that dirtbag Nunez, because she did. But if it's any consolation to folks, the crowd started booing him loudly before he finished the question. They cheered her when she gave her answer.

Actually, I was rooting for Virginia. But when I first saw Michigan, I thought she was gorgeous.

My pick would have been Virginia, Oklahoma, then Michigan.
