advertising,insurance, fashion, movies, music etc...i.e. certain GROUPS are targeted to sell a product and that’s profiling. It’s just called “marketing”...but it’s the SAME THING.
What’s the diff when LEO’s use it to protect us and uphold the laws??

And you missed the most insidious area of profiling that undermines and makes a joke out of our Constitutional system defining trial by Jury.
But NOT trial by carefully "profiled" jury...
