All I can say about this is that you don't know much about the United States then. Islam, scientology, unitarianism, communism; whatever your ancestor's poison, you always, always have the choice. This place was founded as the one place on earth where the predilections of one's ancestors had no bearing on a person's life, liberty, or their pursuit of happiness. The government (no bills of attainder), or the population (Debbie Schlussel, islamist murderers) have no right to make exceptions. That's how the phenomenon of 'assimilation' works, and when I see it working, in spite of the unending onslaught of politicaly correct group identity politicking, then I applaud. That's the way it really is, and to islam, its so-called commandments, and the persons who think that these have any legitimacy inside these borders; damn 'em all.
And as a beside, any story which is premised on Debbie Schlussel's blog or the Detroit Freep will likely need a lot of further work.
