Members of Congress, in their infinite wisdom, will end up creating more legislation because they have failed to uphold their duty to preserve, protect and defend the most important piece of legislation, the Constitution.

Here's a novel idea. Instead of increasing legislation, why not abolish those program and agencies that do not comply with the enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 thereby reducing the size and scope of government?

Don't blame me for the idea folks. I learned it from those wild and wacky group of people known as our founding fathers.

Great idea. Goodbye to Departments of Education, Energy, HHS, and an untold number of obsolete programs. Unfortunately, IRS is protected by Constitutional Amendment.

I’d go one step further. Limit Reps and Senators to three staffers only - one in Washington, one at home and a floater. Then sell off the excess office buildings to the public. Excluded from the sale are ALL politicians and their families, their staffs, lobbyists and anyone with ties to the federal and state governments.

That’s a good START.

Indeed! Precisely what needs to be done.
