Fine -- let the employers direct-deposit the pay -- without deducting for union dues.
Then let the union bill its members -- just like the utilities do.
How long would it take for the union members to refuse to pay? ;-)
It’s about time the rank and file woke up and realized what their leadership is doing. The peons will lose their jobs and the illegals will take them.
union/mexican scum alert.
“And this was 30+ years ago. I cant imagine how out-of-touch they must be today.”
Several of my in-laws are Teamsters - truckers! They not only HATE Obama, they are actually talking out AGAINST their leadership because they backed this JACKA$$ for President. I mean, we complain because DC has lost touch with us - heck, in the unions, their leadership has been going against the rank-n-file for so long, there is about to be a revolt in MANY of the unions. These guys work in the same building and have lost touch with each other! No, not lost touch - simply STOPPED LISTENING (just like DC)!!!
It really is about to be popcorn time in America! The dems and left ALWAYS talk about the fractions on the right: moderate repubs vs. right-wing extremists vs. religious zealots vs. etc... I have been hearing this for more than 30 years in the LSM!
Partly it is because the Repubs have been loosing their identity and moving away from the America that we all know, love and WANT. The other major factor is the LSM wants to really PUSH the idea that the Repubs are fractured.
Problem is, now that America is waking up, we see the dems as the Socialist, Communist party that they are and we are ready to take back our country. That is going to have the dems fightin each other for the scraps that will be thrown their way in the major cities - but in the real world, they will be TOAST!!
I am not a union man, never have been; I believe they have out lived their usefulness. But, we have to remember, most union members really are just working class stiffs that go to work, want best for their families and go home. This group is starting to wake up and smell the BS which their union and the dems have been shoveling - I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Lol... I seriously doubt that any "waking up" done by "rank and file" union members will equate to anything of any consequence. I lost faith is these people LONG ago and they NEVER fail to validate my opinion of them.
Sure.. lets hit these guys hard with information and PR designed to "wake them up", but dont be disappointed if they are just too damn stupid or lazy to make the leap.
I think the best we are going to get out of this is the chance to create some discontent within their ranks. Im not sure to what degree we can take advantage of that but I guess that shouldn't keep us from F'ing with their morale.
The Democrat Party is fundamentally in business to ostensibly "help people," i.e., to pay their supporters from the public purse in exchange for their vote, which keeps the payments coming to the payees, and thus keeps the payors in power. The Republican logical basis is to run a minimal government that allows personal enrichment by rewarding intelligence and effort.
The corruption in the Democrat Party is endemic. In the Republican Party (fundamentally a minority) the corruption lies in deal-making to make sure those who get wealthy can stay that way by rewarding the Republican Party for protecting their assets. The difference between the two parties is obvious. The Democrats are acting on their principles, which are harmful in themselves. The Republicans, especially of late, are acting contrary to their principles, which harms everyone.
The electoral choice is, "Who's, or what's worse?" Hell of a situation for the country.
