Sounds like the mother not the cops were responsible over this.

There was some sort of confrontation between a woman inside and one of the officers. The officer's gun went offNot enough information here to jump to such a conclusion.
If the mom was physically struggling with an armed cop and the gun "went off," I think you'd be absolutely right. In fact, in some states I think mom could be charged with first degree murder.
If she and the cop were involved in a verbal altercation and the gun "went off," the cop should at minimum be charged with manslaughter.

People should have SWAT team, flash bang, rapid forced entry classes so that they can behave according to procedure while being woken up.
Other wise, it might occur to someone that people might behave irrationally in such a startling situation and thus, in violation of suspect behavior code, be shot.

Until I see evidence to make me think otherwise, I say it’s a tragic accident.

Wow, what an utterly retarded boot-licker comment.
Meanwhile this is yet another insignificant, isolated incident (like the dozens more today, hundreds more this month, thousands more this year) of the 99% giving the 1% of our "brave men in blue" a bad name.
Of course they had to shoot the sleeping 7 year old. She was, after all, coming right at them!
