If marriage has no reference to children, then it is not marriage at all. Tax policy subsidizes families with children because society needs children or it soon ceases to exist. We are headed down that road. There are a huge number of unmarried women who will never be part of a traditional family, and if they have children, a large portion will be unproductive. If the number of gay men increases, that further reduces the number of children. The end result is a “mule” society. Mules are often good workers, but they they don’t leave progeny to take their place when they get old and die.

Wrong answer! You do NOT deserve more of my paycheck and labor just because I am not married. My mother and father with 5 children were never "subsidized" (aka, welfare) by the government.

"The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits."

--Thomas Jefferson

The federal government is restraining me with a much heavier tax burden and aiding you with a much lighter tax burden (aka welfare).

How conservative are you really that you live on government welfare?
