Great information! I don’t see, though, how anyone as fundamentally stupid as Al Gore (unless it’s an act?) could be anything like a linchpin. The only actual intelligence he shows is to refuse to debate anyone who knows any science — and I’m not sure that’s intelligence as much as animal cunning (or instructions from above?).
This is not new. During the French Revolution there was explicit replacement across the country of the Christian church with an environmental religion. I believe incited by JJ Rousseau, but that can be researched. Likewise the Soviet Union forbade Christianity, the Party was the replacement.
Not that the heirarchy of the Christian churches, both Catholic and Protestant, haven't brought it on themselves by not speaking out (exactly like GWB by the way) on what they stand for, and exposing the forces of Christian demoralization. We see this complicity constantly in Methodist and Presbyterian pulpits; and somewhat surprisingly (to me), find a little more fundamental effort in the Catholic Church.
In any case though Mammon (human ego and greed) is going to insinuate itself into any human institution. As apparent in the Chicago Carbon Exchange.
